Creating that Cowboy Cool Look

28 October;  Author: RidinTheDustyTrail

When it comes to designing a theme for a room, there’s nothing quite as cool as cowboys. Whether it’s cowboys and horses, or just those cool cowboy hats and boots, designing a room with a cowboy theme in mind is a sure delight for you and your guests. To get started, consider a hat rack with some well-weathered cowboy hats. You might also think about hanging some cowboy hats on the wall.  In terms of cowboy wall décor, think about metal silhouettes, lassoes, or even bull horns. Since I’ve been riding horses for years, I’ve also used some of my old saddle tack to add some flair to the my room.

When accessorizing your room, try to get rustic wooden furniture, and leather couches with visible nail studs. This will succeed in creating that classic saloon look that is so desired amongst homeowners.

Essential Horseback Riding

14 October;  Author: RidinTheDustyTrail

Technically, all you really need for horseback riding is the horse and yourself. But the proper horseback riding equipment will make the experience infinitely more enjoyable for both parties. Here is a quick rundown of some of the most essential riding gear:

~Helmet: No matter how skilled you are, riding a horse is a dangerous proposition. Always wear a helmet.

~Chaps: These specially designed leggings give you better contact and more control in the saddle.

~Gloves: To keep a solid grip on the reins

~Riding boots/spurs: The proper footwear makes getting around the stable easier, and the spurs can be used to navigate the animal.
